I don’t know about you but I feel like 2017 has flown by. I can’t believe that in a few days we will be in 2018! And I feel like I haven’t written enough, I haven’t dedicated enough time to this blog. I hope 2018 will be a better year, I hope I will write more and better. I hope to improve We Believe in Style in many ways.
Meanwhile these are my favorite posts of 2017.
2017 has been a very divisive year, politically speaking. And not only in US. Brexit’s agreements seem to be more complicated than expected and European countries can’t find a way to deal with the problematic immigration that made the majority of English voters decide to leave UE. Fashion always pays attention to what happens in the world, even if some people still consider it a superficial, gilded world. That’s why I decided to learn more about the way clothes and politics are strictly tied, since the ancient times, even when we don’t realize it is so.
If you spend just a bit of time on socials, most of all Facebook, you know there’re people who seem so eager to throw their anger at you. How come that strangers think there’re persons who care about their opinion? Negativity is like a poison. And there’s only one antidote.
Spending a lot of time sit at a desk means that it has to be well organized so I wrote a list of must-have accessories that you should keep close to you when you work or study.
Among my favorite trends of the year there are hair tied with ribbons, that will be a thing in 2018, too, kitten heels, denim jackets with a feminine twists, corset tops and side ruffled pants. Who said that pearls are boring? Pearls can be cool and edgy. And brooches are cool, again.
As a “not a bag person” who doesn’t understand the charm of seasonal it bags, I wrote about designer bags that are much better than it bags but I also discover a new Italian brand that makes classy and timeless pieces.
I’m sure I haven’t dedicated enough time to one of my favorite subject, beauty. I love beauty products so I don’t know why I didn’t write more about them, but I started a new series about Italian beauty products that I love. This product, instead, is one my favorite beauty purchases of the year. And it’s French. And, since I love perfumes I wrote about some beautiful perfume commercials. One of them made me buy the fragrance I’m using now.
And these are some beautiful, inspiring and practical quotes about life.
