New year, new beauty products.
Today I’m gonna talk about some I recently got: Nuxe Micellar Foam Cleanser with Rose Petals, Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals and Le Couvent de Minimes Eau Micellaire 3 in 1.
The micellar foam is very delicate, suitable for sensitive and normal to combination skin. I started using this product by chance because my mother bought it thinking it was a kind of cleansing milk to be used without washing her face. Of course it’s not so she gave it to me.
It’s delicate and effective; when I use the toner, the cotton pad is always clean, no trace of dirt.
I found its texture perfect because I love foams, most of all during winter. Its perfume is very delicate and pleasing.
I found out that if you add a small quantity of Gentle Exfoliating Gel you can cleanse and exfoliate your skin at the same time.
Very good product, if you’re looking for something delicate it’s for you.
The exfoliating gel is good. The first time I used it I thought that maybe it wasn’t so delicate because its granules are bigger than those of other scrubs I use. Well, they are big but delicate.
You can apply it on dry or moist skin avoiding the eye area. I feel like it exfoliates but also moisturizes a bit. When I used to do my facial cleansing at the beautician’s (she shut down her activity, I still miss her!) I often asked her for some tips and she told me that you need to massage the scrub for 10 minutes otherwise you won’t perfectly exfoliate but I think that for me 5 minutes can be enough if I do correctly. I think it also depends on the product you use, some are really aggressive and dry your skin.
If you’re addicted to facial sauna like me, you can cleanse your skin, hold your face on the steam for a couple of minutes to dilate pores, apply the gel, hold your face again on the steam and then massage the gel with round movements.
After I rinsed it I felt my skin soft and clean.
Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel definitely passed the test, too.
In the past I reviewed two other Nuxe products from the same line, the Clarifying Cream Mask, one of the best masks I’ve ever used, and the Micellar Cleansing Water.
Le Couvent de Minimes is a brand owned by L’Occitane en Provence, which I love.
This Eau Micellaire 3 in 1 removes make-up from the face, the eyes and the lips. It’s very delicate and leaves my skin really soft. I must say that I always use an eye make-up remover when I put a lot of mascara so I don’t know if this micellar water removes it very well.
Its main active ingredients are Damascena Rose floral water (it refreshes and softens the skin), essence of Centifolia Rose (which tones) and Wild Rosehip polyphenols (they protect the skin from free radicals and enlighten it).
Why 3 in 1? Because it removes make-up, it cleanses and tones your skin. It seems to be a perfect travel product, but you can use it only as a toner, if you prefer.
And that’s all for the first Beauty for the Weekend post of the year. Have a great weekend!
