La Saponaria is an Italian brand of skincare that has quickly become one of my go-to beauty brands. I recently found out that many women who visited Italy bought La Saponaria products and loved them. The brand is not available abroad at the moment, but you can buy it online on Ecco Verde if you live in Europe. If you are going to visit Italy soon I suggest you to look for it in stores.
At the moment, these are my favorite La Saponaria products.
Siero Bioattivo Anti Pollution/Anti Pollution Serum, which protects the skin from smog and the unhealthy stuff there’s outside. It contains moringa peptide (which seems to be the next big thing, in cosmetics), blueberry water, hyaluronic acid, tamarind extract, and peppermint. I apply it in the morning and I’m going to buy it again, for sure, because it also has anti-age effects.
Mousse Detergente Mirtilla/Blueberry Cleansing Mousse, which replaced Caudalie’s foam in my beauty routine. I read excellent reviews of this foam cleanser so I bought it. Its main active ingredients are blueberry water, black rice water, and calendula extract. These natural ingredients are antioxidant, regenerative, remineralizing, and soothing. I feel my skin clean but not dry at all, after using it. The fact that a 150ml bottle costs 9,90€ is a plus. You only need one pump of product so it lasts a lot, but mind that it doesn’t remove make-up.
BB Cream Like a dream. Finally, I found a BB cream I actually like and that doesn’t make my face go dirty/greasy or super dry. And that is available in a color that suits my complexion. This BB cream contains healthy ingredients like pomegranate, witch hazel (also known as hammamelis virginiana), jojoba and hyaluronic acid. Not all the chemical stuff many BB creams are usually made of. The coverage is medium but of course it depends on the quantity of product you apply. For me, BB cream is for when I want a natural finish, while foundation is for kind of special occasions and night-time, or for when my skin is a bit messy and I need a full coverage.
La Saponaria is an ethic, vegan, cruelty free brand. Its products are pretty affordable, the serums cost 14,80€ each and the BB Cream costs 13,90€, prices that make them some of the less expensive skincare products of my beauty regime, considering that some products cost just a few euros.
I recently started to try other products by La Saponaria, so I’ll keep you updated!
