As a huge lover of Caudalie products and as a person who, unfortunately, has to deal with the problem of dark spots (most of all caused by acne and by my crazy, immature way to catch the sun when I was younger), I bought Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence as soon as it hit the stores.
Usually, I wait at least one month, even more, to write a review of a beauty product but this time I made an exception because I noticed the benefits of Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence right after the first application.
This essence is the third step of a beauty routine that starts with the cleanser (obviously the first step) and the toner (the second step). You should apply it before the serum, pouring some drops on the palms of your hands and then delicately patting on your face. You can use a cotton pad, too, if you want but I prefer to apply this essence with my hands.
Let it dry a bit and then apply Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correcting (these products have very long names!) or whatever serum you’re using. Just mind that the essence was made to enhance the serum’s results.

Three products of my skincare routine. From the left: Vinoperfect serum, Vinoperfect essence and the moisturizing toner
Finish with the moisturizer (I still love this one). I know some of you may find this routine a bit long. But your skin (so, you) deserves time and attention. If you find this routine too long for the morning, leave it to the evening. In fact, in the morning I still apply other products. It depends on my need and if I’m spending many hours away or if I’m just going out for a couple of hours or even less.
So, Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Essence costs $42/£30/28,60€ (in Italy and many other European countries while the French price is lower, 25,20€). If you’re thinking it’s pretty expensive, I thought it, too! But I bought it anyway because I kind of neglected my skin for a while (just some weeks) so I decided I needed to spoil myself a bit. I didn’t regret the money, anyway. I really like this product and I think it’s going to last a lot.
Let’s be honest, Caudalie Brightening Essence (let’s shorten its name) is not a miraculous product but I swear, after applying it my skin looks much brighter and after applying the serum it looks even better. Definitely recommended.
Interesting, I’m obsessed with toners
I’m not but I’m always looking for the perfect one 🙂
