When I read these words by Theodore Roosevelt I found them so (painfully) true and I started thinking. I’m sure we all make comparisons, at least once in our life!
We compare our life, our job, our physical aspect… our blog! After reading this quote I realized how wrong and damaging this could be, also because, as ancient poet Phaedrus said “Things aren’t always as they seem”. Can you relate?
I totally relate to this. It's much for more difficult for comparison to lead to admiration and gratitude, and easier for it to lead to self-doubt and envy. It's a never-ending lesson for me to know that I am enough, just as is.

I agree with you, comparison often leads to self-doubt an envy, while it should only stimulates to do better.
