The weekender bag is one of those accessories you realize you need when you have to stay away for a couple of days and you don’t want to use a suitcase. Or when you need both a suitcase and an extra luggage, maybe because you already know you’ll come back with more stuff.
Many of us usually prefer hard side luggages with wheels because they’re obviously more practical, most of all if you have to catch trains and planes. So the weekender is the perfect travel bag for a road trip because it won’t be moved around. For some reason it always makes me think about Bridget Jones and her pseudo-romantic weekend escape with Daniel in “Bridget Jones’s Diary”. I know it’s a kind of cliché but weekender+convertible car seem to be a perfect match. But maybe films shaped a bit too much my idea of life and style.
When it comes to luggage, some people prefer it timeless and classy while others go for colorful and funny suitcase and bags. Some prefer leather, others prefer canvas and nylon, also because it’s washable. And a washable travel bag is always useful.
These are some weekender bags I picked. Remember that sometimes the men department is the best place to shop.
